Holiday Cards

By Erica and Chris Fisher

It started with Erica, cackling wildly, declaring that she had come up with the BEST Christmas card idea ever.

Chris couldn't disagree, and so it began with their first card: "Have a Precious Christmas."

It turns out, a few people might not have understood. They wondered out loud why there was a starving child on the front of their card. Or maybe they puzzled over what gift the greasy metalhead was so pleased about. But those who knew, knew.

From that year on, Chris and Erica have designed, hand drawn, and painted holiday cards. They range from parodies of familiar art to homages of personal favorites.

And now they're available to you!

Have a Precious Christmas

2021

The one that started it all! What's more to say?

It features Golum of The Lord of the Rings smiling gleefully over his precious gift.

Inside reads "Have a Precious Christmas."

May Your Christmas be Bright

2022

This St. Lucia inspired illustration started as an Aubrey Beardsley homage.

Then it softened a little, as Beardsley is a little too....Beardsley....for children's consumption.

Inside reads "May your Christmas be bright."

An homage to Andrew Wyeth. It takes whisps of his "Winter 1946" and "Christina's World," and distills them down in typical Wyeth fashion.
